Crazy Horse Bassist Suffers Mild Stroke | Tour To Continue – On July 7 Neil Young & Crazy Horse will kickoff a European Tour in Reykjavik, Iceland without an important member on board. The band’s label, Warner Brothers, has announced that bassist Billy Talbot recently suffered a mild stroke. Thankfully, Talbot is expected to make a full recovery, just not in time for the group’s upcoming tour. Rick Rosas, a bassist who has tour extensively with many of Young’s projects in the past, has been called upon to join Neil & Crazy Horse for the upcoming tour.


Exclusive Premiere | Jerry Garcia Band Covers The Band – The latest installment of the series of Jerry Garcia live archival releases features the March 22, 1978 performance at Veteran’s Hall in Sebastopol, CA. , which is now available for pre-order, will hit stores on July 15. The JGB lineup for this show saw Garcia joined by John Kahn, Buzz Buchanan, Maria Muldaur and Keith & Donna Godchaux as well as special guest Ozzie Ahlers. Jerry and his band roll through two soul-laden sets that are heavy on covers including “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You),” “Simple Twist Of Fate,” “I Second That Emotion,” “Mystery Train” and “The Harder They Come.

‘A Picture Of Nectar’ 2-LP Deluxe Vinyl Released at The Freezer on Randall’s Island – On July 11 & 12, The Freezer at Randall’s Island will play host to the JEMP Record Store. We’re excited to announce that Phish will release A Picture Of Nectar, the band’s third full-length studio album, as a Limited Edition Deluxe 2-LP vinyl set, available exclusively for the first time at the JEMP Records Store at Randall’s Island. The LE Deluxe 2-LP vinyl set is limited to 7,500 individually numbered copies; 2,500 of which will be available at Randall’s (the remaining quantities will be available in stores at at Phish Dry Goods at a later date, so fans at Randall’s will get the first crack at the release months in advance).
