The Who frontman Roger Daltrey has recorded a song with proceeds of its sale benefiting the Teen Cancer America charity. Daltrey covered a well-known song from his bandmate Pete Townshend’s solo catalog for the charitable single.
First Citizens Bank and Republic Records paired with Teen Cancer America to produce Daltrey’s take on “Let My Love Open The Door” which originally appeared on Townshend’s 1980 solo LP Empty Glass. Daltrey and Townshend are co-founders of Teen Cancer America.
“Whether by downloading this track or by other means, we hope people will open their hearts and open the door to assist Teen Cancer America,” Daltrey said.
