Hillberry: The Harvest Moon Festival Announces Initial Lineup

The 2nd annual Hillberry: The Harvest Moon Festival will take place at The Farm in Eureka Springs, Arkansas October 13 – 16. Deadhead Productions have teamed with Railroad Earth to host the 4-day music and arts festival and today have revealed the initial lineup for the event.

Railroad Earth will headline the festival and play two nights. In addition, the New Jersey jamgrass act have also curated the lineup which features Greensky Bluegrass, The Infamous Stringdusters, The Travelin’ McCourys, The New Mastersounds, Turkuaz, Larry Keel (Larry Does Jerry), Fruition and Dirtfoot, with additional artists still to be announced.

On April 24, the Grammy Museum LA in Los Angeles will host Celebrating Jefferson Airplane: A Conversation With Grace Slick, Jorma Kaukonen & Jack Casady. The three members of the most acclaimed Jefferson Airplane lineup will discuss their esteemed career at the Clive Davis Theater, hosted by Scott Goldman.

Tickets for the event, which will start at 12 p.m. local on the 24th, will go on sale Thursday, April 14 at 12 p.m. PT via AXS.com. Guitarist Jorma Kaukonen was a founding member of Jefferson Airplane, one of the most important bands to ever come out of San Francisco.

The Nth Power Gets Animated In ‘Only Love’ Video

Soul-rockers The Nth Power recently released their debut studio album Abundance and today have unveiled the official video for one of their signature tunes – “Only Love.” The band teamed with production company Dreambear to create an animated video for the track.

Guitarist Nick Cassarino, percussionist Weedie Braimah, drummer Nikki Glaspie and bassist Nate Edgar are all re-created in animated form for the “Only Love” video. Current Nth Power keyboardist Courtney “Jay-Mel” Smith joined the band after the recording of Abundance and doesn’t appear in the video.

The Werks Announce The Werk Out 2016 Phase Two Lineup Additions

Ohio jam act The Werks announced the second phase of artists appearing at the 2016 Werk Out Music & Arts Festival. The additional acts will be featured alongside three nights of The Werks at the seventh annual event taking place on August 4 – 6 at Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio.

Werk Out will also include performances by Greensky Bluegrass, Manic Focus, Everyone Orchestra and Kung Fu as well as Daft Phunk featuring Earphunk performing a tribute to Daft Punk and TWERKAPOD: A Tribute to the 90s featuring members of The Werks, Dopapod and Twiddle.

1. The String Cheese Incident will not play Lockn’ this year: Frey revealed that SCI decided to play July’s Merryland Music Fest instead of returning to Lockn’ for the fourth year in a row.
